I’m Original, Only Thing That Changed About Me Is Money I Have Now -Timaya
Nigerian singer and songwriter, Inetimi Alfred Odom popularly known as Timaya, says he has always been original right from the onset and does not have anything to hide.
The singer stated this in a chat with Channels Television, saying what people say about him doesn’t itch him as he sees people’s thoughts about him like ‘fried eggs and bread’.
“How somebody sees me doesn’t bother me. I’ve gone past those things. What you think or how you think are like fried eggs and bread,” he said.
Reflecting on his journey thus far, Timaya explained that the only thing that has changed about him is the money he has now.
Looking at how far he has evolved from a plantain seller to a notable voice in the music industry, the singer says he looks better than where he is coming from.
“I’m not doing anything bad. I’m original. I’ve been like this all my life. The only thing I know that people can say is that I’m a very blunt guy, I speak my mind and I’m not afraid of anybody… I’m not a fraudster, I don’t have anything to hide,” he said.
“It is very difficult when you are trying to live a life that you are not. The only thing that has changed is the money that I have now. From a plantain boy, now I look better not like I was that bad but I was bad.”
He also talked about his ninth album, Gladiator, and the events that inspired the album’s name.
