This ruling secures the Super Eagles’ top position in their group, now with 10 points from four matches—four points ahead of their nearest competitor, Benin. Libya remains at the bottom of the group with one point.
A draw in their upcoming match against Benin in Abidjan next month would be enough for the Super Eagles to qualify for the 2025 AFCON, scheduled to be held in Morocco in December 2025.
