In an interview with Nigerian comedian Ayo Makun, known as AY, May expressed her deep appreciation for family and marriage, emphasizing that these institutions are fundamental to human existence. She clarified that she does not support divorce or separation.

“Some men think I am misleading their wives because I love family and marriage,” she explained. “To me, family is the foundation of life. Without family, there would be no you or me. Let me be clear: I am not advocating for divorce.”
May also stated that she prefers to keep her personal struggles private and shared that her family, friends, and online community form a robust support system for her.

“I have a solid support network, including family and friends who are always there when I need them. Additionally, my online community is like a pillar for me; they are reliable and ready to stand up against anyone who shows insincerity. If someone displays insensitivity, they will definitely call it out.”
