After his initial detention in Lagos, Bobrisky was transferred to Abuja for further questioning. EFCC spokesperson Dele Oyewale confirmed to SaharaReporters that Bobrisky was taken into custody after he did not respond to a formal invitation from the Commission.
Oyewale explained that Bobrisky’s arrest relates to an alleged bribery case, and the EFCC is seeking his assistance in identifying the officials he claims to have bribed. When asked if Bobrisky would face bribery charges, Oyewale noted that no formal decision had yet been made on that issue.
