Nantes manager Antoine Kombouaré has confirmed that Moses Simon is fit to play in Sunday’s Ligue 1 match against Olympique Marseille.
The Nigerian winger missed Nantes’ 3-1 away defeat to Strasbourg last week due to a minor knee injury but resumed training this week and is ready to return.
“Moses Simon is back with us. He had a minor knee issue,” Kombouaré announced during a press conference.
Simon, 29, has scored twice in eight league appearances for the Canaries this season. Nantes currently sit 12th in the Ligue 1 standings with 10 points from nine games.
Simon’s recovery is also a welcome boost for Nigeria as they prepare for their upcoming 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
The Super Eagles will face Benin Republic away on Thursday, November 13, before hosting Rwanda at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo four days later.
