A fire incident struck a private telecommunications facility in Abuja’s upscale Maitama district, spreading to a nearby restaurant.
In addition, another fire was reported in the Wuse area of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
According to the FCT Fire Service’s Asokoro division, which confirmed the incidents on Saturday, no casualties have been reported from either location.

EKO HOT BLOG reports that authorities are investigating the cause of both fires, and fire crews were quickly deployed to contain the blazes.
These incidents add to a recent string of fire outbreaks across Nigeria.
Just last week, a fire erupted along the Lagos Blue Line rail track near the NEPA station in Apongbon, Lagos State, though no injuries were reported.
In a more tragic case, four individuals lost their lives in October when a fire engulfed a lounge and bar on Baale Road in Olodi Apapa, Lagos, leaving employees unable to escape.
Earlier in March, parts of Abuja’s bustling Wuse Market were severely damaged by fire, resulting in extensive loss of goods and property.
Fire safety concerns have heightened nationwide as officials urge both business owners and the public to prioritize safety protocols and preparedness to prevent further tragedies.
