Ekohotblog reports that the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), Epe Branch, led by Comrade Moibi Ibrahim, marked National Youth Day with a march through the streets of Epe to raise awareness against social vices such as drug abuse, violence, and internet fraud.
The youth group turned out in large numbers, demonstrating their commitment to improving the community and encouraging fellow young people to steer clear of negative behaviors.
Comrade Moibi, NYCN president, emphasized the critical role of youth in nation-building, stating,
“The power of the youth is the strength of the world. No part of society can match the energy, ideas, and courage that young people have.”
During the event, Comrade Moibi highlighted the youth council’s achievements, including educational programs and empowerment projects.
He also addressed the persistent issue of inadequate electricity supply in Epe, describing it as a significant hindrance to the community’s development.
“Epe has been struggling with poor electricity for too long,” Comrade Moibi said.
“We need stable power for our community to grow, and the youth will continue to speak up until this issue is resolved.”
The National Youth Day march concluded with a strong message encouraging Epe youths to remain committed to positive change and the development of their community.
“We are the future, and we need to start making that future better now,” Comrade Moibi urged, inspiring the youth to continue working for the advancement of Epe and Nigeria as a whole.
