Asisat Oshoala has made history with Bay FC, a National Women’s Soccer League expansion team, by setting a record for the most wins by a debut club in a single season.
The San Francisco-based team, which joined the NWSL in 2024, achieved 11 victories over 26 matches, securing a 7th-place finish with 34 points and a playoff berth.

They are set to face the Washington Spirit on Sunday, November 10, 2024.
Oshoala, who transferred from FC Barcelona, contributed seven goals to Bay FC’s campaign, placing her 13th on the league’s scoring chart.
Bay FC plays home games at PayPal Park in San Jose, California, sharing the 18,000-seat stadium with the MLS’s San Jose Earthquakes.
The club, awarded as an expansion franchise on April 4, 2023, is backed by Sixth Street Partners and four former U.S. women’s national team players.
