Trump voiced frustration over potential delays in announcing results, a concern he has raised throughout the campaign as some states prepare for a drawn-out counting process.
“I feel very confident,” Trump said. “I hear we’re doing very well everywhere.”
He added that this was the “best” of the three campaigns he ran.
“It won’t even be close,” Trump said. “But it’s gonna take a long time to certify.”
Trump reiterated his frustration over the anticipated delay in counting results, questioning why “they spent all this money on machines” if the process is still slow.
He pointed to the French election as an example of a quick tally, contrasting it with the lengthy wait for U.S. mail-in ballot counts.
This complaint aligns with his ongoing scepticism around mail-in voting delays, which he has frequently highlighted to cast doubt on the election’s integrity.
In 2020, Trump labelled mail-in ballots as “dangerous” and “corrupt,” warning they would lead to “massive electoral fraud” and a “rigged” election.

In a June video posted to Swamp the Vote USA, a voting resource site funded by the Republican National Committee, he falsely suggested these methods were insecure.
