Pray Against Potential Famine Amid Rising Fuel Costs – Fr Mbaka Tells Nigerians

The Spiritual Director of Adoration Ministry, Enugu State, Rev. Fr. Ejike Mbaka, has called on Nigerians to pray against the looming threat of famine in the country.

He decried the escalating cost of fuel, warning that Nigeria is already grappling with hunger, and if left unaddressed, the situation could spiral into a full-blown famine crisis.

Mbaka made these remarks during the commissioning of the new Blessed Omemma Oil and Gas Limited filling station in Abakpa, Enugu East Local Government Area. He urged the government to take immediate action to curb the rising fuel prices and stressed the importance of collective prayer for divine intervention.

The cleric also advised Nigerians to consider investing their money rather than leaving it in banks, as the currency continues to lose value.

“We need more prayers for Nigeria to overcome this crisis. Right now, hunger is our immediate concern, but if we’re not careful, famine could follow,” Mbaka cautioned.

He further added, “I encourage people to invest their money wisely. Don’t leave it in the bank where it will keep losing value. The government is aware of what needs to be done to tackle the fuel price hike, and a solution from them could resolve these difficult situations. That’s why I stress the power of prayer.”
