Obama Congratulates Trump, Emphasises Peaceful Transfer Of Power
Former President Barack Obama on Wednesday congratulated Donald Trump on his election victory, emphasizing the significance of a peaceful transfer of power.
Obama’s remarks sharply contrast with Trump’s unprecedented refusal to concede to Joe Biden four years ago, a stance that ultimately led to the violent assault on the U.S. Capitol by his supporters on January 6, 2021.

The former president also expressed pride in the efforts of Vice President Kamala Harris and her running mate Tim Walz, despite their decisive election loss.
