‘Joshua Is Finished’ – Zhang Advises Former Champion To Quit Boxing
Chinese heavyweight contender Zhilei Zhang has advised Anthony Joshua to retire from boxing, claiming the British fighter is “finished” after his shocking defeat to Daniel Dubois in September.
Joshua’s hopes of reclaiming a world title as a three-time champion were dashed in a dramatic fight, where he was knocked down four times before succumbing to a fifth-round knockout by IBF champion Dubois at Wembley Stadium before a crowd of 98,000 fans.

“My personal humble opinion is that he is finished, and he should look into investment,” Zhang told DAZN via AceOdds.
“He should look into retirement and get himself wrapped up with the business side of it. Whatever he wants to do, just go ahead and choose that route.”
The Chinese boxer, who last stepped into the ring in June with a devastating knockout of Deontay Wilder, has shown interest in facing Joshua despite his belief that the British fighter’s career is in decline.
“With everything being said, of course, I do want to fight him, but I don’t think he wants to fight me. I don’t think Eddie Hearn will put him anywhere near me,” Zhang added.
Zhang’s call for retirement follows advice from former undisputed heavyweight champion Lennox Lewis, who suggested Joshua take a break from boxing after the crushing defeat.

“No, I don’t think he should take the rematch. I think he should take a rest for a minute and then come back,” Lewis told Box Nation.
The British boxing icon believes Joshua reached his peak with his 2017 victory over Wladimir Klitschko.
