Why I Married My Husband, Kazim Adeoti – Mercy Aigbe
Popular Nollywood actress and filmmaker Mercy Aigbe has opened up about her decision to marry well-known movie marketer Kazim Adeoti, also known as Adekaz.
During an appearance on Nollywood on Radio, Aigbe shared that having a partner in the entertainment industry played a crucial role in her choice.
“One reason I married him is because we’re in the same industry,” Aigbe explained. “Together, we’re building a production empire. I felt it was important to have someone in the industry to collaborate with, and it’s great that he understands it, too. With our combined strengths, the future looks promising.”
Her 2023 cinema release, Ada Omo Daddy, already highlights the synergy between Aigbe and Adeoti, marking her successful cinema debut. Reflecting on the film’s reception, she said, “The feedback was amazing. I was a bit nervous since it was my first cinema debut, competing against established names. But I was confident because I knew I had a quality product.”
Aigbe also emphasized her goal of maximizing her reach across platforms. “I won’t limit myself to cinemas; I’ll be on all platforms where I can generate income.”
