Hon. Abiodun Tobun Urges Upgrade of Epe Emergency Services, Calls for Truck Park After Ayetoro Accident

Ekohotblog reports that following the tragic accident in Ayetoro, Hon. Abiodun Tobun, representing Epe Constituency 1 in the Lagos State House of Assembly, has called on the Lagos State Government to improve emergency services in Epe and establish a truck park to prevent future incidents.

Speaking during a prayer session for the victims, Hon. Tobun revealed that he promptly informed Lagos State authorities about the incident and participated in a meeting to discuss immediate responses and preventive measures.

“As soon as the accident happened, I contacted the board in Lagos State, and we held a meeting right away. During that meeting, I asked the governor to help equip the emergency unit in Epe so we can respond faster and better when accidents like this occur,” Tobun said.

He also emphasized the need for a truck park in Epe to ensure heavy vehicles are parked safely, mitigating risks associated with indiscriminate parking.

“We need a proper truck park to prevent these vehicles from causing problems by parking anywhere they like. It’s important for the safety of our community,” he added.

Hon. Tobun expressed his condolences to the victims and their families, offering prayers for their comfort and strength.

“My heart goes out to the families of those who lost their lives. May God give them strength during this difficult time, and may the souls of the departed rest in peace,” he said.
