EDCAA 2024: Epe Chair, Princess Surah Clinches Epe Division Ambassador of the Year
The Honorable Chairman of Epe Local Government was declared and awarded the Epe Ambassador of the Year at the CNI 2024 EDCAA Gala at the Lagos Theatre, Epe.
The Concerned Nation-Builders Initiative (CNI), in collaboration with SEOL Investment Communication Media, organized the 5th edition of the Epe Division Community Annual Award (EDCAA) on Thursday, December 12, 2024.
The EDCAA event is an annual award gala established and organized by Concerned Media Initiative to recognize, celebrate, and reward outstanding individuals, groups, and leaders who have contributed positively to the advancement of the Epe community and beyond.

In recognition of the selfless and unrelenting efforts of the Honorable Chairman of Epe Local Government, Princess Surah Animashaun, particularly for her consistent and prompt responses to resolving community issues and crises, fostering unity, inclusivity, and cooperation among the people of Epe over the course of the year, she was honored.
Eko Hot Blog recalled that Hon. Princess Surah Animashaun and her team achieved numerous milestones throughout the year.
On Friday, October 13, 2024, Hon. Princess Surah awarded bursaries to 50 undergraduate students from the Epe community.
Most recently, the chairman swiftly responded to the tragic Epe Black Monday incident at Ayetoro Market. She paid the full medical bills for all the victims and promised to provide additional support to the local healthcare system.

All these exceptional efforts have endeared her to the people of Epe, particularly the youths, who often voice their support for her and applaud her flawless administration as the first female chairman of Epe Local Government.
The award was received on her behalf by her deputy, Honorable Sikiru Owolomonshe, who expressed gratitude and acknowledgements on behalf of the chairman.
Honourable Sikiru appreciated the award while also reiterating that it will serve as a morale booster for the Honorable Chair to do more and continue to prioritize the welfare and well-being of the good people of Epe.
