Ondo Governor Hails Mimiko’s Legacy at 70

The Governor of Ondo State, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, has praised former Governor Olusegun Mimiko for his outstanding service to the state.

Aiyedatiwa described Mimiko as a leader who left a lasting impact during his time in office from 2009 to 2017. Speaking at a special event in Akure to celebrate Mimiko’s 70th birthday, the governor highlighted Mimiko’s achievements and the legacy he built.

The Governor commended Mimiko for his work in infrastructure, healthcare, education, and social programs, which continue to inspire both the current administration and future leaders.

He preached from the book of Deuteronomy, emphasizing the importance of servant leadership. Yele Ogundipe, a former Commissioner for Finance, also spoke about Mimiko’s faith, sharing how he consistently relied on God while making decisions for the state.

In his remarks, Mimiko expressed gratitude for the love and appreciation he received from the people of Ondo State. He reflected on his time in public service and thanked his family, particularly his wife Oluwakemi, for their support.
