Lady Arrested for Attacking FRSC Official Is Not an Officer – Lagos Police
EKO HOT BLOG reports that in a statement released on Thursday, the command clarified that Osayi was arrested and prosecuted by the Ajah Division of the Lagos State Police Command for the assault.
According to reports, the incident occurred during a routine patrol by the FRSC on December 7, 2024, when Osayi was seen in a viral video kicking the road safety official, Habeeb Sayidi, while preventing him from deflating the tyres of her impounded vehicle.

Osayi was arrested on December 15, 2024, by the Unit Commander of the RS2.19 Lekki Unit Command. Initially released on bail by the Ajah Divisional Police Headquarters, she was later detained due to efforts by the Unit Commander.
On December 16, 2024, Osayi was arraigned before Court 3 of the Eti-Osa Magistrate Court, where she pleaded not guilty to charges of assault and breach of public peace. The court granted her bail with a N100,000 payment and two sureties with valid tax clearances, but she was remanded in prison for failing to meet the conditions.
The case has been adjourned to January 8, 2025, for further proceedings.

In response to the false reports, Hundeyin emphasized that Osayi is not a member of the Nigerian Police Force (NPF). “Were she a police officer, internal disciplinary processes would have been initiated, resulting in her suspension or dismissal before being arraigned in court,” he explained.
The Lagos State Police Command urged the public to disregard the misleading claims and reassured them of the strong partnership between the police and the FRSC, which is vital to maintaining security in the state.
