Shettima Returns To Abuja After Umrah Pilgrimage
Vice President Kashim Shettima has returned to Abuja after completing the lesser pilgrimage (Umrah) at the Holy Mosque of Makkah (Masjid al-Haram) in Saudi Arabia.
The confirmation came through a statement released on Friday by his Senior Special Assistant on Media and Communications, Stanley Nkwocha.

EKO HOT BLOG reports that the statement, titled “Shettima Returns To Abuja After Umrah In Saudi Arabia,” highlighted that the Vice President prayed for Nigeria’s peace, stability, and social harmony during his visit to the sacred site.
Shettima expressed his hopes for a united and prosperous Nigeria, extending his prayers to the leadership across all levels of government.
Before his spiritual journey, Shettima represented President Bola Tinubu at the inauguration of a $315 million oil production and storage facility owned by Oriental Energy Limited in Dubai, UAE. This event marked another milestone in Shettima’s extensive international engagements since assuming office.
The Vice President has reportedly spent 61 days abroad on 12 official trips, accumulating over 200 hours of flight time.
His travels have taken him to key global locations, including Rome, Italy; St. Petersburg, Russia; Johannesburg, South Africa; Havana, Cuba; Beijing, China; Iowa and New York in the United States; Davos, Switzerland; Yamoussoukro, Ivory Coast (twice); Nairobi, Kenya; and Stockholm, Sweden.
Through these trips, Shettima has represented Nigeria at critical international events, strengthening diplomatic ties and fostering economic partnerships.
