Osimhen Stars With Brace As Galatasaray Thrash Kayserispor 5-1
Victor Osimhen delivered a superb performance, scoring twice as Galatasaray demolished Kayserispor 5-1 in a Trendyol Süper Lig clash at the Kadir Has Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
Making his first start since recovering from injury the Nigerian goal poacher wasted no time reminding fans of the quality he’s made off.

The Nigerian striker opened scoring in the fourth minute, calmly converting a penalty after a Kayserispor defender was adjudged to have handled the ball in the box 18. However, the home side quickly responded through Stephane Bahoken, who leveled the match with a header from Kartal Yilmaz’s perfectly delivered corner.
Galatasaray regained the lead thanks to Osimhen’s playmaking skills. The striker collected a pass from Yunus Akgün and provided an assist to Dries Mertens, whose shot was parried by the goalkeeper. Barış Alper Yılmaz was quick to react, tapping in the rebound to give Galatasaray a 2-1 lead.
Upon resumption of second half, Galatasaray extended their advantage when Akgün unleashed a stunning strike into the bottom left corner, leaving the goalkeeper with no chance.
Osimhen struck again in the 71st minute, showing his finesse with a delicate chip over the goalkeeper after a precise pass from Akgün, completing his brace.
He was substituted in the 86th minute for Metehan Baltaci, receiving a warm ovation from the fans.

Yilmaz capped off the dominant victory in the 89th minute with a composed finish to put scores at 5-1.
Osimhen’s brace brought his league tally to nine goals for the season, placing him just one behind the league’s top scorers, Krzysztof Piątek and Simon Banza.
