In his 2024 Christmas message, Tinubu confirmed that the government is offering free train rides and subsidizing road transport on 144 routes nationwide to make travel more affordable.
“For those traveling during this festive season, I wish you safe journeys. Rest assured, the government is taking all necessary measures to ensure our transportation routes are secure and convenient,” Tinubu said in the message he signed. “We are providing free train services and subsidized road transport costs across the country to make your travels easier.”
He also extended his Christmas greetings to Nigerians, urging citizens to pray for the nation’s leaders at all levels.
