EKO HOT BLOG reports that according to Isaac, he had purchased the goat at Gwagwalada market for ₦87,000 and tied it in the backyard of his compound, intending to slaughter it for the Christmas celebration. However, he and his family left for a church program later that evening.

“When we returned around 10:23 p.m., I noticed the goat was missing,” he said. “What surprised me most is that I locked the gate after driving out with my family for the church program that night.”

Isaac further explained that after inspecting the compound, he discovered that hoodlums had scaled the fence, cutting through the barbed wire to gain access and steal the goat.

The distraught victim reported the incident to local vigilantes in the area, seeking their assistance in identifying suspicious individuals attempting to sell the goat at local markets or abattoirs.

As of the time of reporting, the FCT Police Command spokesperson, SP Adeh Josephine, had yet to respond to inquiries about the incident, requesting more time to verify the report.
