Manchester United Contact Napoli Over Potential €75m Move For Osimhen

Premier League giants Manchester United have reportedly contacted Napoli about a potential January move for Nigeria striker Victor Osimhen, who is currently on loan at Turkish side Galatasaray.
Eko Hot Blog reports that transfer expert Sacha Tavolieri, speaking on Sky Sports Switzerland, revealed that the Red Devils have already made contact with Osimhen’s representatives. Personal terms are believed to not be a major hurdle in the negotiations.

The 25-year-old has been in exceptional form, scoring 12 goals and providing 5 assists in 15 appearances for Galatasaray this season. However, United may need to pay around €75 million for the striker, with additional fees possibly required to terminate his loan with the Turkish club early.
Despite interest from several top European clubs, Osimhen has recently reaffirmed his commitment to Galatasaray.
“I will not leave in January, I am at Galatasaray until the end of the season. I do not know what Galatasaray and Napoli are talking about afterwards, but if they come to me, we will talk. Galatasaray is a nice club that I like very much,” the striker said after his brace in a 3-2 win over Tottenham.
Former Galatasaray coach Hamza Hamzaoğlu has stated that the Turkish club is unlikely to afford a permanent deal for Victor Osimhen. He believes that Galatasaray would face major financial challenges in their attempt to retain the Nigerian striker.
“It is difficult for Galatasaray to buy Victor Osimhen. In fact, I can say that they cannot,” Hamzaoğlu was quoted as saying by habersarikirmizi.com.
“I heard that there are suitors for Osimhen. Galatasaray can go up to a certain point in the figures, but after that, it may cause problems.
“Financial situations need to be considered. However, if he stays, he will continue to benefit.”
The Super Eagles forward, Victor Osimhen, joined Galatasaray on loan in September after moves to Chelsea and the Saudi Pro League fell through. His performances have been pivotal in making the Turkish giants the only unbeaten team across Europe’s top eight leagues, including domestic, cup, and European competitions.

Osimhen’s release clause is set at €90m, with plans to lower it to €80m by the end of the season. However, reports suggest Napoli may approve a January transfer for €75m.
New Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim has singled out the Nigerian striker as a key target to address the club’s scoring struggles in the Premier League. Paris Saint-Germain and Juventus are also said to be keeping an eye on the situation, with PSG already making contact about a potential January move.
