Impeached South Korean President Yoon Suk-yeol has once again defied a summons to appear for questioning over his brief declaration of martial law, marking his second failure to comply in a week.

Eko Hot Blog reports that Yoon was ordered to attend questioning at the Corruption Investigation Office for High-ranking Officials in Gwacheon, south of Seoul, at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, but did not show up.

This follows his previous failure to attend a summons by prosecutors on December 15.

Since December 14, Yoon has been suspended from his duties after the National Assembly voted to impeach him by 204 votes to 85.

The Constitutional Court is currently deliberating on whether to uphold the impeachment, with a decision requiring the approval of at least six out of nine justices.

The court’s first public hearing on the matter is scheduled for December 27, and it may take up to six months to reach a ruling.
