Former Kwara Commissioner Abdulraheem Adisa Is Dead
Kwara State’s former Commissioner and PDP stalwart, Abdulraheem Adisa, has given up the ghost in Ilorin, the state capital.
The politician died in the wee hours of Thursday December 26, he was aged 91.
Arrangements for his burial are underway at the Muslim Public Cemetery in Ilorin, EKOHOTBLOG can exclusively report.

EKO HOT BLOG gathers that Adisa, a dedicated member of the Saraki political dynasty, held prominent positions throughout his career, including Editor of the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), General Manager of The Herald Newspapers, Commissioner for Information, and Chairman of Moro Local Government Area.
In a similar development, retired Major General Godwin Osagie Abbe, former Minister of Defence and Internal Affairs, died in Abuja on Saturday night following a prolonged illness.
Born on January 10, 1949, Abbe would have turned 76 in few weeks time.
Abbe’s illustrious career spanned military, administrative, and political service. He served as Governor of Akwa Ibom and Rivers States during his tenure in the military.
His academic and military training included the Nigerian Defence Academy, the US Army Infantry School at Fort Benning, Georgia, and the Ghana Armed Forces Staff College.
Rising through the ranks, he held roles such as Battalion Commander, Staff Officer, and Directing Staff at the Nigerian Army’s prestigious Command and Staff College in Jaji.
Both figures are remembered for their impactful contributions to public service and nation-building.
