Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has extended his warmest congratulations to billionaire industrialist and Chairman of the Eleganza Group, Chief Rasaq Akanni Okoya, on the occasion of his 85th birthday.
Eko Hot Blog reports that in a statement issued by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Gboyega Akosile, Governor Sanwo-Olu praised Chief Okoya’s long-standing dedication to the Nigerian economy and the livelihoods of its people, particularly in Lagos State, where many of his companies are based.

Chief Okoya, widely known as the Aare of Lagos, has made substantial contributions to Nigeria’s economic growth, providing job opportunities for numerous Nigerians through his investments, which have since expanded into other African markets.
He said: “On behalf of my family, the government, and the people of Lagos State, I join family, friends and business associates to celebrate the Chairman of the Eleganza Group and the RAO Property Investment Company, Chief Rasaq Akanni Okoya, on his 85th birthday celebration.

He is one of Nigeria’s business magnates and philanthropists that are impacting lives positively.
“The Aare of Lagos is a generous man who has given hope through philanthropic gestures to the less privileged in the society.
He has given scholarships to many people, particularly the young people, to further their education and also provided funds to many people to start small businesses.
