Controversial influencer Andrew Tate has been released from house arrest in Romania, pending the outcome of a criminal investigation, his spokesperson announced.

He, along with his brother Tristan, faces allegations of trafficking minors, engaging in sexual intercourse with a minor, and money laundering. Both brothers deny all charges.

In August, prosecutors launched a second investigation into the Tates and four other suspects, leading to Andrew Tate’s house arrest.
This case involves allegations of trafficking minors, sexual exploitation, and financial crimes, which all the accused deny.
A separate earlier case accusing the Tates of human trafficking and forming an organized group to exploit women was sent back to prosecutors in December by the Bucharest Court of Appeals for procedural revisions.
The brothers also deny those allegations, as well as rape and human trafficking accusations in the UK, where authorities are seeking their extradition.
Romanian judges have stated that the extradition request will only be addressed after the conclusion of the Romanian case.
In the UK, the Tates are also accused of tax evasion. A British court recently ruled that over £2 million ($2.4 million) could be seized from them for failing to pay taxes on £21 million in online revenue.
Andrew Tate described the ruling as a “coordinated attack” and “not justice.”
