A suspected kidnapper, Nasiru Isyaka, was apprehended in Kontagora Local Government Area, Niger State, after being recognized during a condolence visit to one of his victims.
EKO HOT BLOG reports that police spokesperson Wasiu Abiodun confirmed the arrest in a statement on Sunday, revealing that Isyaka and his gang had attacked Sabon-Gari Mangu Matachibu village on December 29, 2024.

The attack left one person dead and two others abducted. The victims were later rescued through a security operation.
Isyaka, a resident of the same village, visited one of the victims on January 17, 2025, where he was identified and arrested by officers from the ‘A’ Division in Kontagora.
