Popular Nigerian comedian Adesombi Martin, known as DeeOne, has taken his ongoing feud with controversial social media personality Martins Otse, widely recognized as VeryDarkMan (VDM), to national television.
EKO HOT BLOG reports that in an interview with TVC News, DeeOne detailed his reasons for confronting VDM, his findings after months of investigation, and his ultimate goal.

During the interview, DeeOne disclosed that he had been closely observing and investigating VDM for approximately 18 months to determine whether he was genuinely advocating for the truth or simply manipulating Nigerians with unverified claims.
According to the comedian, while VDM occasionally gets certain issues right, he often jumps to conclusions without proper fact-checking.
One of the examples DeeOne cited was VDM’s allegations against Access Bank. He accused the social media activist of spreading unverified information about the bank but later failing to acknowledge or apologize for his misleading claims.
Additionally, DeeOne reiterated his stance that VDM is allegedly attracted to men. When asked if he had concrete proof, he claimed that VDM himself had admitted it in the past. To support his assertion, DeeOne presented what he described as exclusive evidence— a video purportedly showing “two men” engaged in questionable activities, with speculation that one of them was VDM. Addressing the journalists, DeeOne posed a rhetorical question:
“With what you have seen, if this two men that you see in this Video where your brothers or relations will you advice me to realease it?” He said
When questioned about why VDM had not responded to any of his accusations or mentioned him publicly, DeeOne dismissed speculation that he was blackmailing the activist. Instead, he suggested that VDM’s silence was a result of uncertainty over how he (DeeOne) obtained his information.
“I am not Blackmailing VDM. VDM doesn’t know how I get my information so it can be classified has fear thats why he left me and faced Nedu”” DeeOne stated.
Despite the controversy surrounding his claims, DeeOne emphasized that his primary goal was not to tarnish VDM’s reputation but rather to push him to be more responsible.
