The political impasse persists as Obasa’s previous removal left deep divisions within both the Assembly and the state leadership of the ruling party.
Meranda explained that her resignation was meant to protect the Assembly, emphasizing her commitment by stating, “I take a bow as you as your Speaker.” Prior to her departure, lawmakers took the opportunity to commend her legislative expertise, diligence, and overall performance during her brief tenure.
