The Federal High Court in Abuja also issued a restraining order against the Senate Committee on Ethics, Privileges, and Public Petitions, preventing them from taking disciplinary action against Akpoti-Uduaghan as the case unfolds.
Earlier today Security operatives of the Nigeria Police Force forcefully dispersed supporters of Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan who had gathered at the National Assembly Complex in Abuja.
The protesters, who arrived as early as 8 a.m., were demonstrating in solidarity with the Kogi Central senator as the Senate Committee on Ethics, Privileges, and Public Petitions prepared to deliberate on her case.

However, police officers intervened, firing tear gas to break up the crowd and prevent disruption of legislative activities.
