President Bola Tinubu has congratulated former Vice President Yemi Osinbajo on his 68th birthday.
In a statement from his spokesperson, Bayo Onanuga, Tinubu praised Osinbajo for his contributions to Nigeria’s development.

He highlighted Osinbajo’s work as Vice President from 2015 to 2023 and his leadership when he served as Acting President while Muhammadu Buhari was on medical leave.
Tinubu also remembered their time working together when Osinbajo was Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice in Lagos while Tinubu was governor.
He acknowledged that Osinbajo had the democratic right to contest against him for the APC presidential ticket in 2023.
“Osinbajo will always be my friend and associate. He served Nigeria well and worked smoothly with President Buhari without conflict,” Tinubu said.
