A Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) bus caught fire on Saturday morning in the Maryland area of Lagos State, causing panic among commuters and residents.
According to reports obtained by Naija News, officers from the Nigeria Police Force, the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA), the Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service, and local security groups swiftly responded to the scene to control the situation.

EKO HOT BLOG reports that eyewitnesses said the bus, which was travelling from Ikorodu to CMS, suddenly burst into flames while in transit. The cause of the fire remains unclear at the time of this report.
