Chief Of Air Staff,Abubakar Calls On Troops To Ensure That Peace Is Restored To N-East

The Chief of the Air Staff, Air Marshal Sadique Abubakar, has charged troops of the Operation Lafiya Dole to ensure that peace was restored to the troubled communities in the North-East.

Abubakar gave the charge when he visited the Air Task Force of Operation Lafiya Dole in Maiduguri, Borno State, to celebrate the Christmas on Wednesday and Thursday, according to a statement by the Nigerian Air Force on Friday.

The air chief, who was represented by the Chief of Training and Operations, NAF Headquarters, Air Vice Marshal Oladayo Amao, said: “I commend the ATF Commander and his personnel for their efforts in the fight against insurgency and for the execution of the recently concluded Operation Rattle Snake. I want you to sustain the current tempo of operations with a view to ensuring that peace is restored to troubled communities in North-East Nigeria.”

According to the statement by the NAF Director of Public Relations and Information, Air Commodore Ibikunle Daramola, a similar Christmas luncheon was held for troops of the ATF Operation Lafiya Dole in Yola, Adamawa State.
