The Executive Chairman of Epe Local Government, Hon. (Princess) Surah Olayemi Animashaun, FHTI, today kicked off her much-anticipated ward-to-ward re-election campaign tour with an electrifying and highly successful visit to Wards A1 and A3.
Ekohotblog reports that the campaign flag-off was marked by an overwhelming show of support, with thousands of residents, party faithful, youth groups, and community leaders trooping out in solidarity to celebrate a leader many have described as the “architect of modern Epe.”

Accompanied by a strong contingent of political leaders and members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Epe, Princess Animashaun was welcomed with singing, dancing, and chants of appreciation, underscoring the deep connection she has built with the people over her four years of transformative leadership.
Addressing the enthusiastic crowd, Hon. Animashaun reaffirmed her administration’s commitment to inclusive development and sustainable progress.
“This journey is not just about politics, it is about people. It is about progress. It is about ensuring that the Epe of our dreams becomes the Epe of our reality,” she declared to roaring applause.
She emphasized the need to consolidate on the gains made during her first term, which include improved road networks, expanded healthcare access, educational support initiatives, and youth empowerment programs.
“We are proud of how far we’ve come, but the work continues. We will build more, reach further, and serve better in the next phase of our administration,” she assured residents.
Leaders within the APC also lent their voices in support of her candidacy. One of the leaders, Chief Wasiu Odubiyi, described her leadership as “people-centered, transparent, and visionary,” noting that her style of governance has earned the admiration of both young and old in Epe.
Residents of Wards A1 and A3 expressed their excitement and pledged full support for her re-election bid.
“She’s not just a leader; she’s a mother figure to the community. The changes we’ve seen under her watch are real. We believe in her and we’ll vote again for continuity,” said Mrs. Iyabo Alake, a market leader in Ward A3.
The tour continues Thursday, June 26, 2025, as Hon. Animashaun and her team move to engage with more constituents, present her “Next-Level Agenda,” and reinforce the campaign’s central theme: “Built on Progress. Driven by Vision.”
