Okeh insists 2027 will be a battle between APC and suffering Nigerians.
A chieftain of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Peter Okeh, has endorsed Peter Obi, the 2023 presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), as the ideal candidate to fly the ADC’s presidential flag in 2027, citing Obi’s wide national appeal and grassroots support.

EKO HOT BLOG reports that speaking to journalists in Abakaliki on Sunday, Okeh said Peter Obi, the former Anambra State governor, remains the most capable leader to head the coalition and challenge the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in the next election.
“I actually believe that Mr. Peter Obi is the best person to head the coalition. He has all it takes to win the election. Politics is local, and Peter Obi has solid grassroots followers through the Obidient Movement,” Okeh said.
He argued that Obi’s experience in the 2023 election has strengthened his political strategy and that Nigerians are now more united in their dissatisfaction with the APC-led government.
“Obi has travelled across the country more than he did before the 2023 election. Nigerians have tasted the bitter pill of the current government, and this has brought people together in opposition like never before,” he added.
Okeh also pointed out that many Nigerians would find it unacceptable if the South does not complete its turn of the presidential tenure, which has become a significant expectation in the nation’s power rotation.
He further stated that the 2027 presidential race would not merely be between political parties but between the APC and suffering Nigerians across the nation.
Okeh expressed confidence in the growing coalition, saying it has the capacity to form a formidable force capable of ending what he described as the APC’s grip on the nation, especially as Nigerians now face poverty, hunger, corruption, and insecurity.

“The next election will be different. Nigerians will guard their votes. No one will be given the chance to rig as they did in the past,” he declared.
