According to the Media and Publicity Committee of LASIEC, the documentary is part of the commission’s commitment to transparency, civic education, and electoral awareness ahead of the July 12 polls.
“This documentary captures the behind-the-scenes work LASIEC has been doing to ensure a credible, inclusive, and peaceful electoral process,” a statement from the committee read.
“We encourage every resident of Lagos to tune in and understand the importance of participating in local elections.”
Titled “Your Voice, Your Vote, Our Mandate,” the program is expected to feature interviews with electoral officials, stakeholders, community leaders, and voters while showcasing how the commission has engaged in voter education, logistics planning, and community outreach across all 20 LGAs and 37 LCDAs.
Speaking on the essence of the program, a LASIEC official noted:
“This is not just a documentary — it’s a call to action. We want Lagosians to see how their votes contribute to the development of their immediate communities.”
The Commission emphasized that local elections are the most direct form of democratic participation, impacting essential services and development at the ward level.
