Super Eagles winger Ademola Lookman has quietly distanced himself from Italian side Atalanta on social media, following the club’s refusal to accept Inter Milan’s recent bid for his signature.
Eko Hot Blog reports that on Friday, Atalanta turned down Inter Milan’s offer of €42 million plus €3 million in add-ons for the 27-year-old forward.

In reaction to Atalanta’s stance, Lookman unfollowed the club on Instagram, erased any mention of Atalanta from his profile bio, and deleted posts featuring himself in the team’s colours.

Adding to speculation about his future, Lookman was excluded from Atalanta’s squad for their pre-season friendly clash against RB Leipzig in Germany over the weekend.
Lookman joined Atalanta in 2022 from RB Leipzig for €10.8 million. Since then, he has made 118 appearances and netted 52 goals for the Bergamo outfit.

He gained widespread acclaim after scoring a hat-trick in the final of the 2023/24 Europa League, leading Atalanta to their maiden European trophy.
