- Real flight data
- Clear info for flyers
- Global standards ready
Chooose now lets airlines show real-time, data-driven CO₂ emissions to flyers—thanks to new IATA ties.
According to Eko Hot Blog, this partnership marks a significant move toward greener air travel, giving airlines a stronger edge in meeting customer expectations for clear, reliable carbon tracking.

Chooose, a forward-thinking software provider, has officially teamed up with the International Air Transport Association (IATA) to bring advanced CO₂ tracking into its platform.
This isn’t vague guesswork CO₂ Connect pulls in real operational data from more than 70 airlines. That means emissions estimates are now calculated with actual flight performance, not rough approximations.
Through this integration, airlines using Chooose over 30 global partners already on board can now feed IATA CO₂ Connect data straight into their reporting tools. That helps both corporate clients and solo flyers get accurate, flight-specific carbon insights.
The timing is key: a recent April 2025 IATA report revealed that about 40 percent of flyers especially those traveling for business make a point of checking their flight’s carbon footprint. This move directly answers that growing demand for transparency.

Piloting this next-level reporting, CO₂ Connect keeps pace with global standards like IATA RP 1726 and ISO 14083. It even factors in reductions from Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF), helping airlines deliver smarter, cleaner travel data.
Joseph Beaudin, CEO of Chooose, notes that the IATA data “keeps getting better as more airlines report actual flight and SAF usage.” Meanwhile, IATA’s Frederic Leger emphasizes that CO₂ Connect is the only emissions calculator based on real airline performance making the Chooose tie-in a vital step in making that data widely available.
As a member of IATA’s Strategic Partnerships Program, Chooose continues to help shape industry-wide decarbonisation efforts and data standards, reinforcing its role as a trusted leader in sustainable aviation innovation.
