The leader of the group, Igorigo Freeborn, spoke about the challenges they faced, including delays in receiving their salaries and poor working conditions. He thanked the Nigerian government and various agencies for their support in bringing them home safely.
“We are grateful to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, NIDCOM, and others who helped us during this difficult time,” Freeborn said.

Abike Dabiri-Erewa expressed sympathy for the workers and assured them that the Commission would assist in resolving their outstanding issues. She encouraged them to cooperate with authorities to help raise awareness about safe migration.
The Commission also provided some financial support to help the workers settle back into life in Nigeria. Dabiri-Erewa called on Nigerians and organizations to offer additional assistance to help the group rebuild their lives.
The workers include Rotimi Kupoluyi, Ajosi Julius, Odeh Collins, Anifowoshe Yekini, and others.
