The Federal Government has slashed the cost of kidney dialysis in federal hospitals from ₦50,000 to ₦12,000, following President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s approval of a 76 percent subsidy.
Eko Hot Blog reports that the announcement was made on Monday by Daniel Bwala, Special Adviser to the President on Policy Information, who shared the news via his official X handle.
He stated that the measure has already been implemented in medical facilities across the country.

“These subsidies are now in effect in federal medical centres and teaching hospitals across all geopolitical zones,” Bwala said. “Additional hospitals will be added before the end of the year.”
The reduced dialysis rates are currently available at the following federal hospitals:
Federal Medical Centre, Ebute-Metta, Lagos
Federal Medical Centre, Jabi, Abuja
University College Hospital, Ibadan, Oyo State
