Nigerian rap legend Olamide Adedeji, popularly known as Baddo, has shed light on his relationship with Afrobeats superstars Wizkid, Davido, and Burna Boy, describing them as “troublesome friends” but affirming that their bond remains unbroken.
Speaking on the Afrobeats Podcast with Adesope Olajide, aired Monday on YouTube, Olamide explained that while the “big four” don’t always agree, mutual respect and genuine friendship keep them close, Eko Hot Blog reports.
“Wizkid, Davido, and Burna Boy are all my friends; they are just too troublesome. They are cool guys, it’s just that sometimes we can’t align on many things, and that’s okay,” he said partly in Yoruba.
The rapper also shared details about his latest collaboration with Wizkid on “Kia”. According to him, the duo stumbled on another joint track, “Billionaire’s Club”, during the video shoot when Wizkid insisted on joining the newly recorded song after hearing it for the first time.
“I didn’t even think he would like that one. I recorded it the day before, but he instantly connected with it,” Olamide revealed.

He praised Wizkid for his constant support, calling him “a solid dude.” Beyond collaborations, Olamide reflected on his decade-long career, which has seen him release over ten projects, headline tours across the globe, and work with international icons like Dr. Dre.
As the founder of YBNL Nation, Olamide also highlighted his role in shaping Afrobeats by discovering and mentoring stars such as Fireboy DML, Lil Kesh, Adekunle Gold, Young Jonn, and Asake.
The rapper credited faith in God as the foundation of his success, noting that blessings and grace have sustained his journey.
Looking ahead, Olamide is set to headline London’s OVO Arena on November 23, 2025, a show expected to reinforce his impact as both an artist and executive.
