EKO HOT BLOG reports that Cuppy, who is known for her pride in her roots, declared that even if given another lifetime, she would still choose to be Nigerian.
She described the nation as her “birthplace, home, and country”, reflecting on the perseverance and strength of Nigerians through difficult times.
In her words: “Èmi ni Omo Naija. My birthplace. My home. My country. Nigeria turned 65 yesterday. Through it all, our people keep pushing, persevering, and finding joy even in the toughest times.
God didn’t rush when He made us… He gave us resilience, spirit, and endless energy. In my next life, I’d still choose to be Nigerian.”
Her remarks echoed the sentiment she shared during last year’s anniversary, when she described Nigeria as her “superpower” and “piece of hope.”
Cuppy further noted that being Nigerian is central to her personal identity and global brand, saying it allows her to proudly carry a piece of the country wherever her career takes her.

As part of the anniversary events yesterday, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu addressed the nation in a broadcast, urging citizens to remain united and resilient while working toward economic recovery, security, and national growth.
