Barrister Olufunke Raji-Rasaki marked her 70th birthday with a grand celebration that culminated in the unveiling of her foundation, following a church thanksgiving service.

He commended the celebrant for her long-standing commitment to uplifting the average Nigerian and highlighted her dedication to giving back to society, particularly through initiatives in food security and agriculture.

Alhaji Rasak Okoya also spoke about his personal tradition of organising an eight-day medical outreach ahead of his upcoming 86th birthday, stressing the importance of healthcare and humanitarian service. He expressed appreciation to those who had supported the foundation and called on others to contribute to its mission.
The unveiling speech was delivered by the celebrant’s first son, Muritala Raji-Rasaki, who serves as the Director-General of the foundation. He outlined the core objectives of the Senator Fatimat Raji-Rasaki (SFRR) Foundation, which include education, empowerment, healthcare awareness, and social inclusion.

According to him, the foundation is committed to building a society where every individual has access to basic human needs such as food, healthcare, education, and safe living conditions, with the aim of creating sustainable communities free from poverty and deprivation.
He further explained that the foundation’s mission is to empower communities through agricultural development, humanitarian services, healthcare initiatives, and social support systems, while fostering partnerships that promote inclusive growth and national development.

The foundation was officially unveiled through a symbolic ribbon-cutting ceremony performed by the Father of the Day, Alhaji Rasak Okoya, alongside his wife, Mrs. Shade Okoya. He also made a generous donation of ₦20 million to support the foundation’s activities.
Other dignitaries followed suit with donations made both publicly and anonymously. The unveiling ceremony was a well-coordinated event, and following speeches that praised the significance of the initiative and the collective effort behind it, the atmosphere was filled with applause, cheers, and overwhelming support from distinguished guests.
