Cardi B Leads Billboard Music Awards With 21 Nominations

American singer and rapper, Cardi B, is the artiste to beat leads as organisers release the nominations for the 2019 Billboard music awards.

The controversial mother of one earned 21 nominations, with the 26-year-old singer nominated for choice categories like ‘Top hot 100 songs’, ‘Top-selling song’, ‘Top collaboration’ among other categories.

With 17 nominations each, Cardi B is followed by Drake and Post Malone while Travis Scott, XXXTentacion and Ariana Grande landed twelve, ten and nine nominations respectively in the full list of nominees for an awards ceremony widely anticipated within and beyond the industry.
