Breakdown Of Cases Of Coronavirus In Nigeria By States

The breakdown of states with cases of coronavirus in Nigeria has emerged.

Ekohotblog reports that Nigeria currently has thirty-six (36) confirmed cases of the deadly coronavirus in the West African country.

This online news platforms understands that on on Monday, March 23, the Lagos State Government recorded fresh five cases of Coronavirus (COVID-19) with 2 out of the three cases returning from travel and one a contact of a confirmed case.

Giving an update on the spread of the disease, Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) tweeted: “Five new cases of #COVID19 have been confirmed in Nigeria: 2 in FCT, 2 in Lagos & 1 in Edo 2 cases are returning travellers from the UK”

As at 09:45 am on 23rd March, there are 35 confirmed cases of #COVID19 in Nigeria. 2 have been discharged the tweet added.

Lagos- 25

FCT- 6

Ogun- 2

Ekiti- 1

Oyo- 1

Edo- 1

Total: 36 confirmed cases

In a related development, Atiku Abubakar‘s son has contracted the deadly coronavirus (COVID-19) while a Nigerian identified as former managing director of Pipelines and Product Marketing Company (PPMC) Engr. Suleiman Achimugu has died of the pandemic.
