COVID-19: Mamora Tests Negative

Following his contact with a victim of Covid-19,  The minister of State of Health, Dr Olorunnimbe Mamora who had gone into Isolation on Tuesday, has tested negative for the rampaging virus.

The outcome of the test that was communicated by the minister in a whatsapp message on Thursday, did not specify whom he had contact with , however, it is believed that he had contact with members of Covid-19 presidential task forces who had contact with the ailing chief of Staff, Malam Abba Kyari, who tested positive for Covid-19 on Monday.

Kyari had reportedly met with members of the task force including Mamora and the Minister of Health, Dr. Osagie Ehanire, on Saturday and shook hands with them.

The minister in his WhatsApp message, said the test conducted on him Wednesday came out this morning and was negative.

“Following my contact with someone who tested positive for COVID-19, I went into self isolation. Testing was carried out on me yesterday and the result came back this morning NEGATIVE,” he said.
