Ogun: 9-Year-Old Donates N950 To Fight Coronavirus
Ogun State governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun MFR has commended 9-year-old Oluwashikemi Ogunleye for her little philantropic act in the fight against Coronavirus.
Ogunleye donated a sum of N950 through the USSD code to Ogun State government as her personal contribution to combat the pandemic.
While speaking to journalists at his Iperu Remo residence in Ikenne Local Government Area of the State, the governor said he was impressed by the small but significant donation from the little girl.
“Oluwashikemi, I am proud to be the governor of a philanthropist like you. You are indeed the symbol of giving of ourselves to ourselves, and the future we are building together. I call on others to come forward and support the fight against COVID.”

The Governor also took to his verified Facebook and Twitter handles to celebrate the little girl.
He wrote, “Not all superheroes wear capes. Oluwashikemi followed the footsteps of leading philanthropists that have proven in our dear State so far that humanity remains intact. “My personal message to you, Oluwashikemi is to continue to be generous. May Almighty God bless us through recovery from this pandemic on the grounds of your kind heart.”
