Fear Grip Osun Residents As Dead Body Floats On River

Following a tip off from informants, police officers from Iludun Police Division,  have evacuated a corpse found floating on Omu river, Kelebe, Osogbo-Iragbiji road, Osun State.

The body which was recovered by the security operatives on Monday afternoon, was deposited at the mortuary of Ladoke Akintola Teaching Hospital, LAUTECH.

Speaking with the press, head of Ajoda Idi Okiti community, Chief Bisiriyu Aderemi, said when he saw something floating on the river that afternoon, he assumed it to be a log of wood, but on getting closer, he discovered it was a carcass.

As at the time of filing this report, the cause of the man’s death has not been ascertained.
