COVID 19: ABUJA BEGINS MASS TESTING
The Federal Capital Administration has commenced community testing for COVID 19 in suburbs of the nation’s capital.
Channels Television report that It is an ongoing process to identify people positive for the disease as well as isolation.
The residents are being prepared for testing and enlightened on how to keep safe from the virus.
First, the residents go through an interview process of ascertaining travel history, contact with positive individuals and pre-existing health conditions.
One of the doctors disclosed that each sample collected goes along with the epidemiology number.

“After testing, we communicate the result to the people via their phone numbers and we isolate those positive immediately. It takes a week for the result to be.” He Said.
A resident of Mabashi named Patience says she pray other people will come out for testing to help one another.
The Public Health Department of the FCTA said those who work to treat the positive patients live in the suburbs to avoid infecting others and to ensure social distancing.
Director of Public Health FCTA said they decided to go to the community to look for this cases actively because the majority of the people reside in the communities and access to the service is limited due to the lockdown.
However, the health department says it won’t stop until the majority gets tested. They urged those living in the community to embrace the community testing and help in the fight against COVID 19.
