COVID-19 Update: Lagos Tops Again As NCDC Announces 573 New Infections In Nigeria
Lagos state is back as the COVID-19 capital of Nigeria with 216 cases of the 573 announced by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC)
Ekohotblog reports that the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) confirmed 573 new Coronavirus cases in a tweet on the micro-blogging site, Twitter on Monday evening, June 15.

This online news platform understands that the NCDC noted that of the 573 COVID-19 cases recorded on Monday evening, 216 were detected in Lagos, Nigeria’s commercial city, Rivers-103 Oyo-68 Edo-40 Kano-21 Gombe-20 FCT-17 Delta-13 Plateau-12 Bauchi-12 Niger-10 Kebbi-9 Ogun-8 Ondo-8 Abia-7 Nasarawa-5 Borno-1 Kwara-1 Benue-1 Anambra-1, southeast Nigeria.

Meanwhile, Ekohotblog reports that the development means that Nigeria’s total confirmed cases of coronavirus have risen to sixteen thousand and six hundred and fifty-eight (16,658) with five thousand, three hundred and forty-nine (5,349) people discharged and four hundred and twenty-four (424) deaths recorded so far.
